FAQ's
How do I book or enquire about your services?
Please fill in the 'Contact Me' form on this website, or email me via hollieblowerphoto@hotmail.com. I require a 25% non-refundable deposit upon booking for all photo packages.
When is the full payment due?
For weddings, I require the remaining balance of your chosen package to be paid at least 12 weeks before the wedding day. If you book less than 12 weeks prior to the day, the full amount is to be paid upon booking; this is non-refundable. For any other photo packages, including; engagements, maternity or model portfolios, the remaining balance is due 3 weeks prior to the day. The full amount is required if booking less than 3 weeks prior to the photoshoot; this is non-refundable.
When will I receive my photographs?
I usually advise between 4-8 weeks for Weddings, depending on the package that you select and my workload at the time. Mementos including photo albums may take a little longer as the images are carefully selected and arranged, then professionally printed and delivered to you. For other photo shoots including engagements, maternity and model portfolios, it is a 1-2 week turnaround.
Do you work with a second photographer?
I do have a second photographer on hand who is available to assist me when needed. For example; on a full day Wedding shoot that has both bridal and groom preparation within the chosen package, we are easily able to cover it all, especially when working in different locations.
Do you carry backup cameras and equipment?
Absolutely, yes! I carry two cameras in order to switch between lenses easily, and in the event that one fails. I also have multiple memory cards, camera batteries and flash gun batteries that I use throughout a photoshoot, especially for full day events. I do carry a portable charger for these, as well as my phone; this is very useful if I need to contact anyone on the day.
Do we have to pay for a meal for you?
I always say to each of my couples that this is completely your choice. I do not require that you provide a meal for me on the day, but I am very grateful if you do. I am more than happy to bring along a packed lunch and sit somewhere to rest during the time that yourselves and your guests are eating.
What is your style?
In terms of the actual photoshoot, I pride myself on being very attentive to the moments that I see playing out infront of me, and am happy to snap away in the background without being overbearing. I try to be as accommodating as I can be, by listening to your needs and going with the flow of the day. Ultimately, my job is to capture those special photographs for you to look back on, so I always do my best and adapt to the situation.
My editing style is natural, with a film-esque look. I love to add warm tones and soft highlights to my photographs, which work perfectly for Weddings. I use post-production techniques to soften skin, remove blemishes and colour correct where needed. I do not heavily edit or add/remove aspects of a person's appearance unless asked to do so, e.g. removal of scars, birthmarks, hair touch ups etc.
What details do we need to give you?
All I need from you prior to the photoshoot is the address details of venues and locations, your contact number, a list of names for the group family/friends photographs (Weddings), and any other special shots, items or poses that you would like me to capture.
Can we meet you before the day?
Of course! I prefer to meet or video call you prior to the day, whether it be for a wedding or a model portfolio shoot. This means we can become familiar with each other and talk about timings, styling ideas, outfits and poses. I can also answer any questions you may have!
